The second trailer for “Barbie” has just dropped, and fans are counting down the days until they can take a walk down memory lane with Barbie.
…In A Barbie World
On July 1st, Greta Gerwig’s Barbie world comes to life featuring many of our favorite actors and actresses. People of all ages can immerse themselves in a bubblegum pink universe that sends them down memory lane. Gerwig includes plenty of tidbits that reference back to the Barbie lore that girls around the world grew up with. From incorporating discontinued dolls like Allan and Midge to the picture-perfect stance and posture of dolls, Gerwig spared no detail while directing Barbie.
First off, Margot Robbie is playing the lead role, alongside Ryan Gosling as Ken. Additionally, they are acting alongside Emma Mackey, Will Ferrell, Simu Liu, and Michael Cera. Each portrays a unique part of the expansive Barbie world, filling in the dreamy, vibrant universe with the personalities we’ve come to love on the big screen.

In addition to having a star-filled cast, Dua Lipa is also making her acting debut. News of her appearance in the movie was released alongside the trailer, shocking fans. As such, you can add “actress” to Dua Lipa’s growing list of achievements. From winning a Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2019 to releasing hit songs like “Levitating” and “One Kiss,” Dua Lipa continues to add to her wide array of skills.
