Welcome back to our Featured Artist Friday! This week, discover with us Nashville based indie-rock artist Annie DiRusso and her new, pop-infused EP, God, I Hate This Place.
Annie DiRusso
Annie DiRusso is a Nashville-based indie-rock artist born in NYC. The artist first appeared in 2020 when she released her first single “20.” Since then, in the eight singles she dropped, the artist has developed a unique style and genre that merge the influences of both of her cities in the union of rock and pop.
DiRusso is currently working on new music at a studio in NYC, which will debut next month. The artist announced she will soon release new music on her debut album. The first studio album will drop in May, when her EP God, I Hate This Place will converge with new singles.
God, I Hate This Place is in fact the artist’s latest release. Introducing the public to a parallel universe where the artist merges different periods of her life, she presented a personal and cohesive work of art that we’re sure you’re going to love.
Discussing her new EP, she wrote:
“This EP takes place all over the country, in all different periods of my life but the place I can’t escape in my own head remains the same through out. I wrote these songs from that place, somewhere I leave often but always end up coming back to.
Thank you forever to the people who helped make this.”
The EP includes five exclusive singles:
- EMERSON
- BODY
- FRISCO FOREVER
- NAUSEOUS
- HYBRID
