DE’WAYNE Announces Highly-Anticipated Debut Album

This past week, the quickly emerging rock superstar DE’WAYNE officially announced his debut album. It is set to release this June and we can’t wait.

Setting Up His Debut

STAINS, DE’WAYNE’s debut record, is a lifetime in the making. DE’WAYNE showcases a raw and tasteful blend of genres on this coming record. Fans have already experiences that just with his singles ahead of the album.

The Texas native combines elements of rock, pop, and rap to show that people – and music – shouldn’t be confined to a box.

The 11-track album is combining the nature of his lively (pre-pandemic) shows while his story gets told. Instead of trying to fit into a ready-made scene, STAINS is driven by energy and emotion. It is simply DE’WAYNE’s own lane. His unique perspective and versatile style makes his music stand out as his collection of hits grows.

Stains” joins previously released singles ,“Walking to Work,” “I Know Something,” and radio hit “Perfume.” The latter features Waterparks’ Awsten Knight.

While being raised in Houston this star was fed a diet of church music and hip-hop. Specifically, gospel records and J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, and André 3000. Then, DE’WAYNE discovered alternative music after moving to L.A. and has since spent the past few years toying with genre.

From 2016 to 2019 the rapper has gone back and forth finding his lane. After little response on his 2017 EP, Don’t Be Afraidit looks like we are getting a full rebrand from DE’WAYNE.

DE’WAYNE Is Leaving Stains

From the five songs that have been released, it is safe to say DE’WAYNE is going all out punk rock on this one. His most recent single that was released was “Stains,” a fast-paced electro-basement punk letter to the music industry.

Overall, from the line-up and the singles that have been released, DE’WAYNE has done a great job at getting our attention. Although it is exciting to see how genres will mix, I hope DE’WAYNE still has some rap songs for the release day that will balance out this aggressive debut rock album.

Be on the lookout for STAINS on June 8. Also, check back to musicdaily.app for more info on his upcoming events.
