David Guetta and Morten released their new single “Something To Hold On To.” Following their recent singles of “Lost in the Rhythm,” “Element” and “Solar”, the two EDM artists are proving their music can be made for everyone. That their Future Rave genre can live up to the highest standards of the EDM genre. The two DJ’s also teamed up with Clementine Douglas, bringing out the song’s outstanding lyrics. Her vocals keep up with the tracks’ soundscape easily, giving the song strength as well as a ballad worthy performance.
Given Guetta and Morten work well together, their songs have received over 800 million streams over their twenty plus releases. Their “made up” genre, Future Rave tends to combine elements of classic EDM as well as other little known sub-genres. While hoping to keep their sound fresh, the two always strive to play something new in each of their sets. After a busy 2022 and a sold out tour, the two recently played shows in Ibiza for eighteen weeks straight. This saw Guetta’s two billion streams of “I’m Good” with Bebe Rhexha and “Baby Don’t Hurt Me” with Anne-Marie and Coi Leray. He also won Producer of the Year at both the BRIT and NRJ Awards. Making him the number four most streamed artist around the world on Spotify.
Along with Morten’s recognition, Clementine Douglas has also skyrocketed in the music world. Last year she won UK Radio’s 1 Dance Awards Vocalist of the Year along with collaboration with other artists like P!NK, Riton, Galantis, Dom Dolla and Sonny Fodera. The singer also has the ability to bring her songs to life, making them next level. With all her current projects with many notable artists, it would not be surprising how popular she becomes within the next year.
With all three artists at the peak of their careers, hopefully their new track can become a new summer hit.
