Mexican pop star and actress Danna Paola is back with new music and kicking off a new era, with the single “XT4S1S.”
Danna Lives to Be in the Spotlight
Danna is officially back, and ready to save Latin pop. For people in Mexico and Latin America, she is best known for being an actress since she was just a kid, starring in novelas like Maria Belen, Amy, La Nina de la Mochila Azul, and Atrevete a Sonar. But now that she’s all grown up, she hasn’t left acting on the side, currently starring in the Netflix hit series Elite. And besides doing all that, she has managed to maintain a music career as well. She can do it all!
Danna has released multiple albums throughout her musical career, but the most recent one was 2021’s Grammy-nominated K.O. In it, she collaborated with big Latin artists like Aitana, Sebastian Yatra, and MIKA. Later that year, she joined forces with David Bisbal for “Vuelve, Vuelve.” Nevertheless, she has also proven that she can take over the English music scene as well, having worked with artists such as HRVY, New Hope Club, and Alesso.
“XT4S1S” Marks the First Time She Self-Produced Her Music
Now, she’s back with a new pop solo single, and it’s all we could have asked for and more. “XT4S1S” is catchy, vibrant, and sexy all at once. The song was entirely written and produced by Danna with her boyfriend, fellow musician Alex Hoyer. The song is an ode to their relationship, explaining how they feel when they see each other.
“This release is the sincerest of my career,” Danna said. “For the first time, I’m not guided by what people will say, nor by pleasing anyone. I’m just enjoying connecting with myself when creating music, to enjoy with the people who want to connect. Today I live my music at 1000 percent. I lived it in ‘XT4S1S’ since it is the state of mind in which I am creating music, being myself, and expressing my genuine energy through my art.”
Along with the new single, Danna announced that she will be touring Mexico in an exclusive 7-stop tour. The cities she will be traveling to are Veracruz, San Luis Potosi, Guadalajara, Mexico City, Monterrey, Puebla, and Merida. Check out the dates down below!
