Colombian singer-songwriter Camilo and global star Camila Cabello got together for the music video of “Ambulancia.”
“Ambulancia” Gets a Second Life
“Ambulancia” was originally released on Camilo’s 2022 album De Adentro Pa Afuera, back in September. Even though fans loved the song and how the pair sounded together, the newly-released music video gives the song a new life. Certainly, it will be better-known with people who didn’t listen to the full album. Plus, we get to see these two artists having fun while jamming together.
“Ambulancia,” which translates to “Ambulance” in English, is a bachata song that narrates how both Camilo and Camila are feeling a strong heartache. They sing about missing each other, and not being able to leave their beds because it still has the other’s scent. They feel so terribly without one another that they might end up calling the ambulance one day – hence the title of the song.
Camilo’s Wife Directed the Music Video
Camilo’s wife, Evaluna Montener, stepped in as the director for the music video. Also, Camila joined him on stage back in November to perform the song together. “Camila is a great friend and someone who I admire,” Camilo said. “So, writing ‘Ambulancia’ and performing it live together for the first time at my show was very special to me. Evaluna shot the music video on top of a real ambulance, and I’m so proud of how it came together – it’s one of my favorite music videos we’ve ever done.”
“I love Camilo and he is such a close friend, which made teaming up with him on ‘Ambulancia’ so exciting,” Camila added.
Camilo & Camila Love Working With Other Artists
Both Camila and Camilo have collaborated with other important artists recently. Camilo, for example, recently worked with Myke Towers, Grupo Firme, Nicki Nicole, and Alejandro Sanz on his latest album. Nevertheless, he’s working with other artists like Selena Gomez, Shawn Mendes, Karol G, and Sam Fischer. Camila, on the other hand, also released her latest album FAMILIA in 2022, where she recruited artists like WILLOW, Ed Sheeran, Maria Becerra, and Yotuel to sing with her in some of the songs. Most recently, she joined forces with Belgian singer Stromae for “Mon Amour.”
