Kelly Clarkson is out and Camila Cabello is in! In what, exactly? In the chair for The Voice! With Season 22 imminent, it’s nice to see the hispanic singer take on more. Originally, she had the role of team coach in earlier seasons, making her the perfect candidate to take up the chair. Now sitting alongside staples like John Legend, Blake Shelton, and Gwen Stefani, this new season is sure to be special! Camila Cabello announced her inclusion via a duet on TikTok with the caption “See you this fall.” As charming as always!

This announcement comes off the release and success of Cabello’s most recent album Familia. Beyond this, she’s had plenty of experience with these kinds of shows, being on X-Factor and all that. That experience alongside her career as a musician, whether in a group or solo, has allowed her to feel comfortable singing and writing about things she never thought she would. Whether it’d be the political and intensely devastating “Lola” or phenomenally vulnerable “Boys Don’t Cry.” Camila Cabello has become more comfortable with genuine honesty and said vulnerability. She aims to use that for the betterment of the contestants on The Voice.
