Bryson Tiller Drops ‘Down Like That’

Bryson Tiller has released his latest single, “Down Like That.” However, this is no ordinary single release. The song came out on September 8th as part of the soundtrack for a new children’s movie.

That movie? It’s PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie. Based on the massively popular children’s television show of the same name, this is not a throwaway feature. Though children may not have been Bryston Tiller’s initial target audience when he started out, this feature is sure to make new fans of a younger demographic. It is similar to how Doja Cat and Lil Nas X became fan favorites for kids via TikTok and Fortnite.

A short official description of the film is provided below:

“When a magical meteor crash lands in Adventure City, it gives the PAW Patrol pups superpowers, transforming them into The MIGHTY PUPS! For Skye, the smallest member of the team, her new powers are a dream come true. But things take a turn for the worse when the pups’ archrival Humdinger breaks out of jail and teams up with Victoria Vance, a meteor-obsessed mad scientist, to steal the superpowers and turn themselves into supervillains. With the fate of Adventure City hanging in the balance, the Mighty Pups have to stop the supervillains before it’s too late, and Skye will need to learn that even the smallest pup can make the biggest difference.”

“Down Like That” is not the only original song made for the film. Also featured on the soundtrack is Christina Aguilera’s “Learning To Fly.” So too is “Bark to the Beat” by Mckenna Grace and blackbear. Aguilera’s single comes out through RCA Records on September 22nd. Mckenna Grace and blackbear’s single is being released through Photo Finish Records on September 15th. Bryson Tiller’s song came out via Trapsoul/RCA Records.

Bryson Tiller’s “Outside” World

The release of “Down Like That” is the artist’s first release this year. Almost a year ago, on September 8th, 2022, he released “Outside.” The single samples The Ying Yang Twins’ single “Wait (The Whisper Song).” Then, on October 18th, Tiller put out the music video for the single, guest starring The Ying Yang Twins.

Hopefully, we will get a new music video for the single. But, Bryson Tiller takes his time to get everything right, so rushing out a music video contradicts his history of slow but well-crafted releases.
