BRIT Awards Welcome Back Familiar Faces
Harry Styles, Arlo Parks, and Dua Lipa are among our favorite British artists in the race towards the BRIT Awards. Now that the nominations are out, we have the ability to guess who will win.
Notably, women are dominating the Album of the Year category for the first time in history. Only one out of the five nominations is a male artist: J Hus. The women in the category are made up of Arlo Parks, Dua Lipa, Celeste, and Jessie Ware. As for who is nominated the most, that’s split evenly between men and women. Dua Lipa, Celeste, Arlo Parks, Joel Corry, and a duo, Young T & Bugsey, all earned three nominations.
Last year the show squeezed in before the pandemic shut the world down. Harry Styles, Lizzo, Billie Eilish, Stormzy, and Lewis Calpadi performed. As for 2021’s performances, we know that Dua Lipa and Griff will take the stage, but other performances are yet to be announced. Jack Whitehall is the host of this year’s BRIT Awards, which will be his fourth time hosting the event.
