Blusher Releases Debut EP “Should We Go Dance?

Should We Go Dance?

This five-song EP was written ‘to soundtrack your ultimate night out,” said Blusher in an Instagram post. Should We Go Dance? navigates romance, friendship, and late nights over a series of danceable tracks. Prior to the EP’s July 14 release, the trio introduced listeners to the Blusher sound with their first single “Softly Spoken.” The band likens itself to the music of Katy Perry, Dua Lipa, and Kesha among other female pop artists.

Miranda, Lauren, and Jade describe their music as “angry sparkly pop chaos.” With ‘dreamy synths” and “thick baselines” accompanying “unfiltered lyrics,” Should We Go Dance? is an ode to their younger selves.

“Our goal is to be the band…we would’ve wanted to see when we were younger” Blusher told Spotify. This punchy pop group is a new addition to Spotify’s EQUAL program, a global initiative highlighting women artists.

Performances

Blusher most recently joined Grammy-nominated songwriter, Tove Lo, on the Australia leg of her Dirt Femme tour in July.
