Blink-182 announces US dates for One More Time Tour. Pierce The Veil is the supporting band throughout the tour.
Blink-182 is continuing their hot streak next year after the original trio reunited in 2022 and spent most of 2023 touring. The tour is produced by Live Nation and spans 30 cities. Primarily consisting of arena performances, several stadium shows are also included. Expect massive, sold-out shows at Petco Park (located in Blink-182’s hometown of San Diego), Citi Field in New York, Fenway Park in Boston, SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, and Rogers Centre in Toronto.
The 2024 tour promotes the band’s newly released album One More Time. It is the first record the original line-up has made together in a decade. 2011’s Neighborhoods was their last group venture before Tom DeLonge left the group in 2015. Without DeLonge, the band put out two albums: 2016’s California and 2019’s Nine.
Blink-182’s Reunion
Speaking with radio host Zane Lowe, Mark Hoppus and DeLonge discussed the 2015 split. Hoppus said, “I didn’t know that Blink would ever get back together or that I would ever share a stage with Tom. I told management, I told Travis, I told everybody, ‘I’m not setting foot on stage again with that dude. Not a chance.'”
The band got back together the year after Hoppus was diagnosed with cancer in 2021, several years after drummer Travis Barker nearly died in a plane crash in 2008. Two life-changing events that reignited a bond that may falter, but never break.
“It was similar when Travis had his accident back in the day,” DeLonge said. “Nothing matters, really. Everything that’s just dumb, peripheral, it’s all petty when you have real human things happen. So, it feels like it’s an instant thing. I feel like there’s a real sense of brotherhood with us. And like any brothers, you have your little spats over the years, and you grow apart. You come back together. But you’ve always got a foundation that you’re connected.”
