beabadoobee Unveils “10:36”

Filipino-British singer-songwriter beabadoobee released her latest single “10:36,” following on May’s “See You Soon.”

“10:36” Teases Beatopia, Arriving on July 15

Beabadoobee is gearing up for the release of her upcoming studio album Beatopia, set for release on July 15. We have less than a month left of wait time! But beabadoobee hasn’t really been making fans wait for new music, as she has been sharing singles that will form part of the album for months. “Talk,” “See you Soon,” and “Lovesong” are all part of the project.

“10:36” is a fast-paced track that talks about beabadoobee getting closer than she thought she would with someone. “I know you thought it was just us. I didn’t think you’d fall in love. You’re just a warm body to hold. At night when I’m feeling all alone,” she sings.

“‘10:36’ was written after Fake It Flowers and just before Our Extended Play,” beabadoobee says. “I had envisioned it to be on that EP, but I was just sitting on that riff for ages and then I properly made a demo during lockdown. It was called ‘10:36’ because that was the time I finished writing it. It’s basically about how I have this weird dependency on human contact to sleep.”
