The “C’est La Vie” feature, bbno$ drops another single, titled “top gun”, in anticipation of his seventh studio album, bag or die, out October 21.

Regarding the forthcoming album, bbno$ [baby-no-money] said it “… represents the ethos of bbno$. Enjoy it; it almost killed me.”
With the infectious Diplo collaboration [“pogo”], the Dragon Ball Z-inspired “piccolo,” and the braggadocious “mathematics” that championed Radio 1’s Clara Amfo as her Tune Of The Week and made BBC Radio 1’s B-list, he is hardly an amateur artist. His last single, “sophisticated” came with new album details as bbno$ is set to release the record under his own label.

The extrovert artist’s new single uses a 60s surf tune, namely 1963’s “Misrilou”, famously reinvented on The Black Eyed Peas’s smash hit “Pump It” (2009). The rapper says, “Dick Dale [behind “Misrilou”] would be proud of Diamond Pistols and I. Will.i.am said the song was cool, so I guess it is. Tom Cruise is also hot; I hope he hears the song or else imma be pissed off.”
This album cut keeps the energy high and is full of bbno$’s one-liners and quick wit. The Toronto rapper finds the perfect mix between a Tarantino score and its iconic surfer origin, but with a punk twist. With varying lyrical content including sexual innuendo and splurges of the rich, bbno$ shout outs some influential figures.
He raps, “My momma call me, says she loves this new one / We talkin’ money, then consider it done / I might be short like Tom but I’m the Top Gun.” He goes on to “gas up” his own song and shortcomings amid the thrilling guitar. What’s the one major edge he has? Hate will not stop him from success.
