Banoffee and the newest track from her sophomore album
Banoffee is back with “Never Get To F*ck Any1” the third single to her sophomore album, Teatracks. The artist previously debuted her first album Look At Us Now Dad last year. The freshman LP featured collaborations with CupcakKe, SOPHIE, and Empress Of. Her first album had themes of family trauma and self-reflection. On her new project, Banoffee says that it could not have happened at any other time than now. She describes it as, “a very specific period of my life that swallowed me in.” As for the new track, it is a simple ballad about the emotions she was reeling with, in a relationship.
Inside of “Never Get To Fuck Any1”
“Never Get To F*ck Any1” is a somber look at Banoffee in her post-relationship feelings. The Melbourne-born artist sings about how there is nothing left to talk about in the relationship she was in. However, she also reflects on how the good parts of the relationship will be no longer – like the sex. The track is a back in forth with seeing a shell of a relationship and also everything she loved about it. Further, the track is produced by Banoffee herself, and first-time collaborator, Perto. Sonically, the song is simple but whole.
What to expect from Banoffee’s new era.
Excitingly, the introduction of this new era from Banoffee has already been filled with collaborations from PC Music’s Planet 1999, and Grace VanderWaal collaborator, Mike Adubato. The LA-based artist will release her second album on October 22nd. The project will feature previously debuted singles “Idiot” and “Tapioca Cheeks”. Listen to her latest single “Never Get To F*ck Any1”, out now.
