Nile Rogers revealed he’s been working as a producer for Ariana Grande’s upcoming album, which is still in the works.
Nile Rogers Spilled Some Details
The studio wizard told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Over the last two weeks I’ve done pre-production for The Zutons’ new album. I just finished John Legend and Ariana Grande too. Working with Ariana was great. Look, Ryan Tedder is such an awesome writer that when he called me and gave me the instructions I was like, ‘I’ve got this.’
He continued, “I don’t say that in an egotistical way. I believe it’s my job to take artists from this place to that place. I can’t reveal what the music is like though, that’s for her to reveal.”
Other details are still slim regarding Ariana’s follow-up to 2020’s Positions. The album gave us great hits like the title track “positions,” which currently surpasses 700 million streams on Spotify, and “34+35”.
Ariana is Staying Busy
Nevertheless, the star has been staying busy lately. In December, the Grammy-winner released the Sweetener Tour film, excuse me, i love you, which she hailed as a “love letter” to her fans. The flick captures some of the highlights of the pop star’s extensive 2018 tour.
Earlier this year, she released the deluxe version of positions. The album featured four new songs “someone like u,” “test drive,” “worst behavior,” and “main thing.” Just two months later, she partnered with The Weeknd for a remix version of his own hit “Save Your Tears,” proving that the pair sound amazing together.
This year, she was the last coach to join NBC’s The Voice. The blind auditions for the show started shooting in June, and the show just premiered a few days ago on September 19. So far, Ariana is proving to look forward to the rest of the season, recruiting talented artists from all ages and genres, making a strong team.
