All Time Low Recruit Pale Waves For “PMA”

Rock band All Time Low recruited Pale Waves for a brand new joint banger. “PMA” is the band’s second single of the year and follows up “Once In A Lifetime.”

“PMA” is a Pop-Punk Banger

All Time Low’s first single of the year “Once In A Lifetime” has amassed over 20 million streams since its release in March. “PMA” is looking very likely to follow its success, as the song is a fresh pop-punk banger.

Combining their vocals in a verse, bridge, and chorus, All Time Low’s Alex Gaskarth and Pale Waves’ Heather Baron-Gracie bring their energy to light. “What are you trying to fix me for? Maybe I’m broken but I’m not sure. Am I depressed or am I just bored? Apathy and irony, postmodern anxiety,” they sing in the chorus.

“PMA” gives off straight 2000’s pop-punk vibes, and we are totally here for it. “PMA is a journey into isolation and overstimulation,” Gaskarth says. “It’s about the little mundane things we do to keep ourselves distracted when loneliness becomes a constant and leaves us feeling apathetic.”

He continues, “It’s existential dread wrapped in nervous laughter kissed by the SoCal sun. Heather and Pale Waves joining us on this one quite literally brings the hopeful shine to the lyrics. The promise of safety in the shared experience, the understanding we’re all living it together.”

Pale Waves’ Heather adds, “I was really happy that Alex asked me to be on the track as I’ve always been a big fan of All Time Low and I loved the song when he sent it over. I really related to the themes, especially the exhausting worry that you’re never doing/being enough in life.”
