English singer-songwriter and producer PinkPantheress has earned a lot of viral and certified attention. Ever since her musical debut in 2021, her songs have gone viral and hit the charts.
PinkPantheress’ music is often described as alternative or bedroom pop with early 2000s influences. Some of her first singles, such as “Just a Waste,” “Pain,” and “Break It Off,” all went viral on TikTok. Many critics and interviewers have described her music as being “for Gen Z, by Gen Z,” as the artist herself is of the TikTok generation. She knows her audience and uses this to her advantage. PinkPantheress creates songs that are contemporary in meaning and nostalgic in sound.
However, it’s not only Gen Z who find her music addictive. Critics find her music impressively new. In 2022, she topped BBC’s Sound of…list. BBC’s annual list notes the hottest new musicians, and PinkPantheress was No. 1 thanks to her many breakout hits.
Her most recent hit, “Boy’s a liar Pt. 2,” has become her debut on the Billboard charts. Currently, her song sits at No. 3 of the Billboard Hot 100.
Aside from song success, PinkPantheress will be performing at the Governor’s Ball, which runs through June 9-11.

“Boy’s a liar Pt. 2” is a remix of PinkPantheress’ single “Boy’s a liar.” The remix features rapper Ice Spice. The pair sing and rap about how men they cared for can’t be trusted and only play with their emotions.
The music video for the song currently has 37M views on YouTube. It is also, as of March 2nd, No. 1 on YouTube’s Top 100 Music Videos in the United States list. These accolades come after only three weeks of the music video’s release.
